Breakfast, my most beloved meal of the day. I saw this meme today and it explained life perfectly.
Breakfast + brunch forever and ever. Today I thought I'd share my typical breakfast and some healthier breakfast ideas!
For me, I cook eggs every.single.morning. Recently I discovered I can do reheated chicken and broccoli all day long but I cannot do reheated eggs. Nope, nope, nope. Makes me want to vom. So, I wake up early to make my daily scrambled eggs. Worth it.
Every morning goes like this...
- Cook up either bacon or chicken sausage
- Add in anything else that I am feeling that morning usually always peppers or cooked potatoes
- Add in either 2 full eggs or 3 eggs whites. Recently I have been doing the egg white route to save fat grams #macros
- Lastly, I either eat my scramble alone (if it has potatoes in it) or put my scramble in a low cal/low carb wrap or pile it inside of a whole wheat english muffin! 99% of the time I add 1 tbsp of the fat free garden veggie cream cheese, game changer.
So easy and I haven't gotten sick of egg scrambles yet!
Here are some other healthy ideas:

-- Oatmeal with add ins (PB, protein powder, fruit, nuts, seeds)
-- Protein Bar or shake if you are rushing!
You could even make a pancake or waffle. I love the Kodiak Power cakes or FlapJacked. Note: Having a waffle iron is EVERYTHING. Best investment!
If you are sick of the ole scrambled egg, mix it up! Try sunny side up or hard boiled! (This egg genie, is everything for hard boiled!) And, FYI you don't HAVE to eat eggs for breakfast. Gasp!! I know a lot of people out there eat chicken/beef for breakfast if they cannot eat eggs. My mother eats tuna for breakfast... but she belongs on another planet :)
I hope this helps you get some new ideas and variety in your first meal of the day, or last! ;)
