A Review: Mizuno Wave Catalyst

If you have been following me for a while or know me irl you should know I am a Mizuno gal. The wave riders are my tried and true running shoe. I have been through three wave riders and I just picked up the most recent release and love it!

I had the opportunity though to test out the new Mizuno wave catalyst and I thought I would write a review on it in case someone out there was wondering if they should buy them.interested in buying but wanted some opinions before making the investment!

For starters, the colors are everything. I am all about the bright and colorful running shoe so if you are too, this is for you. However, don't let the colors sway your decision on buying them. The wave catalyst is a light weight stability shoe. For me, I run in the neutral wave rider so I don't really need that stability that the catalyst provides. The stability gave me tons of issues while standing in them and running in them. I gave them 4 separate tries. Two days of standing/walking in them and two days of running. Each time the pain in my heel and insides of my feet got worse and worse. I'm going to say the pain is from the stability that I don't need!

Positives: The shoe is super lightweight! The heel is still a little hard like the wave rider. If you are a former elixir lover, this is the shoe for you!

I hope this review helps. I love Mizuno, I just don't love the Catalyst but I am thankful I got the opportunity to try! If you like the inspire and want something more light weight definitely go for the catalyst!
