Life Update: 3/5/16

Whew. Hi! Happy Saturday friends! Sorry for lack of posts this week. Feeling in kind of in a rut but, here is what has been going on this week in Alex world!

1. I feel like I am constantly changing the way PCE looks. I am playing with different colors, fonts and signatures until I am 100% content. So if you are confused when you come here, sorry for being annoying! If you haven't noticed any changes, just ignore me lol.

2. I weighed a number recently that I haven't seen in A YEAR. Legit since this time LAST YEAR. So crazy. I was so happy! I know the number on the scale isn't suppose to determine your happiness blah blah it is all about how you feel blah blah BUT that number kind of validates my hard work. My weight loss has been SLOW so seeing it actually move from time to time is such a win for me! I'm down a total of 8 pounds since I started crossfitting.

3. I have been back counting macros recently and I have been noticing I eat a lot of fat. Which in turn is why I think counting macros works for me. Having a set # I need to hit really helps me from not going overboard and allows me to see results physically. I have been using my fitness pal. 4. I need to do a little update on my 5 week challenge that I kind of failed at. I could NOT do zero coffee for a week. That just wasn't happening, lol. So I just threw in the towel. I really think the cause of my problems is EXCESS of gluten and dairy. I mean, excess of anything is bound to cause stomach issues right? I haven't had any stomach pain in a while so I am still keeping an eye on what I eat but not restricting myself any longer.

5. Miscellaneous: I have been consumed with work, the Crossfit Open and reading She Reads Truth. I have been eating egg/bacon/pepper breakfast tacos religiously with a side of froyo. I have also been testing a ton of different skin care products. I will share some insight once I have tried them all a couple of times! Also, if you are wondering how half training is going, I will do a full blog post update for you guys after my long run tomorrow, it will be live on Monday!
