Your girl is FINALLY getting around to posting about half marathon training. I bet most of you forgot I was even running a half with my lack of posts talking about it. Here is a little refresher.

Last Sunday I did an 8 miler and I felt a little behind schedule. I took a look at last years training logs on My Asics App and it dawned on me that I am VERY behind compared to last year. In February 2015 I was already running my 10 miler. In my defense I am balancing Crossfit this time around instead of strictly focusing on running like last year.
Regardless, I crushed my 8 miles Sunday. They weren't the fastest but I had a great playlist, route and some Accel Gel to get me through. I noticed it is almost crucial for me to plan my routes around parks so I can stop and get water.
This week I will take it easy and do a 3 miler. This weekend I will most likely do a 5-6 miler and next weekend hit 10 and I should be ready! To be honest even if I'm not ready I am not sweating it. I am doing this race for fun and mostly using it as an excuse to head up to my favorite city in America, Knoxville.
