Why I love Crossfit {ft. Friends}

I did about a million pulls up during a metcon this week. I was killing my pull ups and simultaneously questioning why I put myself through this torture as I could feel my hands ripping.

The metcon ended and my hands felt like the skin was burning off of them (I'm pretty sure it actually was) and on my drive home as I was attempting to hold on to the steering wheel I was thinking how much I love crossfit. I seriously never want to go back to a regular/globo gym ever again. Call me a psycho but let me tell you why I love crossfit so much with the help of some Friends.

// The workouts are already set for me when I get there. I don't waste any time roaming around aimlessly trying to pick a useless machine. Everything is programmed and ready to go.

//I can't just quit during the workout because I'm tired. Crossfit pushes me past my limits, makes me a better athlete and makes me actually WANT to finish the workout even if I am dying!

//Beating my old time on a workout or getting a PR on a lift makes all of my blood, sweat and tears worth it.

//I have seen some serious muscle growth in the past few months. More growth than ever since I started lifting weights two years ago. All the quad muscles!

//Some days, I don't actually want to leave the gym because I am all amped up after the metcon!

//I have met some super awesome people, seriously. At a normal gym I would never become friends with EVERYONE at the gym but at crossfit I totally am. The community is  seriously everything. Everyone is so encouraging and uplifting.

// When I don't think I can get a lift, or do a certain workout there is always someone there to tell me that I CAN do it. I usually feel like a million bucks afterwards.

//AND fyi if I want I want to workout without a shirt on I can!! Take that globo gym!

But in all seriousness I think everyone should try crossfit. It is really SO much better than a regular ole gym. I love the workouts, my coach and all my little crossfit friends I have made!

But, crossfit has unfortunately turned me into this type of person..........

I feel you Joey.

  1. Hahaha, I love anything with FRIENDS GIFs on it haha. I've never done Crossfit, but I've always wanted to give it a go. I'm more of a runner (ugh-- i hate calling myself that) and I do a lot of Interval training, HIIT, and sometimes the weight machines at the gym.
