Ever since I got my new car I have been semi freaking out about my new added expense. I didn't have many bills (read: none) before my car (and insurance) and I think that's why I have been freaking out. #Blessed I have my mom to help if anything goes bad.
THE POINT OF THIS POST ALEX.
So, I have been trying to eliminate any frivolous purchases and save pennies wherever I can so my new added expenses won't ruin my savings or lifestyle. Because I refuse to give up crossfit, lol!
So overpriced, so many calories, much frivolous. I have been doing a good job cutting out sugary coffee drinks but I will still stop for a coffee with almond milk or something to eat. Cutting back on this can save me $20(ish) bucks a month.
<< Edit >> grabbed a nonfat tall psl today first starbucks drink in a few weeks!
2 // Whole Foods
I have to go to Whole Foods weekly for work purposes. It is typical of me to browse the hot bar and get something for lunch when I usually have something already meal prepped. I have looked at the hot bar several times now and walked out empty handed. BIG STEPS PEOPLE. It saves me probably close to $40 bucks a month. That hot bar aint cheap!

3 // Manicures
Gel manis are my weakness. The ladies at my local salon do such a good job, better than I ever could! But, $30 bucks every two weeks adds up quick! I have recently opted for essies gel setter for $10 dollars and so far I love it! Now, if I could only paint my right hand......
4 // Online Shopping
I always have my cart filled to the brim at old navy and bath and body works. Normally I would just click purchase on my cart but now instead of immediately checking out I close my computer then I will come back the next day and take some stuff out of my cart or sometimes I won't buy anything at all! This is a tip from my favorite bestfriend and self proclaim shop --holic, Caley!
5 // Eliminating Store Emails
Goes with number four.
I will probably save 200+ a month cutting back and improvising which is awesome/ I realize I really don't spend a lot of money of frivolous things in general. I am pretty minimalistic compared to most people. And, call me crazy but I will paint my own nails and cut out starbucks 100 times before I gave up crossfit ;)
- What have you cut out or improvised to save pennies?
- What are some non-negotiable for you?
With love and saving dol hairs,

Unroll.me is amazing! Have you tried out Mint.com? You connect your bank accounts and can create budgets and see where you're spending money. I love it! You can also create goals if you're saving up for something specific. Mint Bills is great too for when you want to keep all that fun stuff in one place.
ReplyDeleteI have tried Mint! I actually just downloaded the app last week. Hopefully I can stop going over my budgets next month :O
