Happy Friday!Getting semi-serious on the blog today, sorry in a advance. I haven't made it pubic knowledge to all of you PCE readers but I am letting the cat out of the bag today. Over the past couple of months (maybe even years... yikes) I have randomly had a lot of lower stomach bloating and pain. TMI sorry. I feel like the bloating/pain might be due to something I am eating (considering it only happens after I eat). My only problem is I haven't paid much attention to what it could possibly be. So, I've decided to get serious and eliminate certain foods every week and report back on my situation.
So, here is my current plan. Starting Monday, for 5 weeks I am going to eliminate something for 7 days.
I am mostly excited
I am not trying to lose weight or inches off of my body by doing this. I am strictly doing this to see how my stomach reacts (if at all). I will report weight loss, energy levels, bloating /stomach pains, what I am eating and staying away from each week etc..
** I am not a doctor, obviously and nobody recommended I do this. I am just curious and wanting to see how I feel after all is said and done. I mean lets be honest, who willingly gives up cheese for a week?! **
Thanks for sticking with me! Hopefully this little challenge will be a learning experience for the both of us!

Good luck! I did this this past May, I followed "the Virgin Diet" and avoided those 7 items on there. I can share the book with you if you'd like. I was able to find out that gluten and dairy were making me have the same troubles. I didn't realize how I had been feeling wasn't normal!
ReplyDeleteI just googled the virgin diet. I'll read up on it more tonight! Thank you for sharing! I'm excited to see how I feel without these foods and find out if it is the reason for my stomach discomfort (which I'm sure it is)!!!
DeleteGood luck! I think gluten or dairy may be the cause too, unless you are eating a ton of raw veggies. Gluten isn't hard for me to cut out, but dairy is! There is no good substitute for cheese :)
ReplyDeleteI can assure you it is not raw veggies :) I'm sure gluten won't be hard for me to cut either. I have a sneaking suspicion the root of my problems id dairy!!! :(
DeleteNo cheese for 7 days makes one weak.
ReplyDeleteMaybe my stomach will feel better though?!
DeleteRegardless, a no cheese diet terrifies me.
