In an effort to clean out my gym bag I decided to do a what's in my gym bag post and gush about all of my workout gear that I hoard carry around on a daily basis! All you nosy people are going to love this ;)
For starters I got a much needed and amazingly huge Nike gym bag for Christmas. It has been a total game changer!!
1. Jump Rope -- Super cheap off of Amazon. I bring this to Crossfit and whip myself regularly trying to work on double under. Living the dream.
2. Liquid Chalk -- Our gym in chalkless so I make sure to have my liquid chalk especially on workout days with tons of pull-ups.
3. EOS lotion -- I keep hand sanitizer attached to my bag and lotion for backup in case I go anywhere where it it is socially acceptable to look like a hot mess post-gym (usually the grocery store). Sorry bout it.
4. Nike Metcons -- I talk about my love for the Metcon 1 in this post.
5. Lifting Belt -- Everyone needs their own pink lifting belt amiright?! It is life changing when you are lifting heavy. And, you can get this exact one off of Amazon for a STEAL.
6. Running Shoes -- I have been trying to incorporate more running in my life and running cannot be done in Metcons. You might as well attach bricks to your feet. So, typically I will throw my Asics in the bag just in case.
7. Headbands -- Headbands because sweaty baby hairs. I also keep my flannel ear muff headband in my bag because no heat at Crosssfit. Woof.
8. Sunglasses -- I keep at least one pair in my gym bag (usually not my aviators, eek).
9. Grips -- I recently bought these JAW grips for pull-ups since I love to rip all of these callouses out of my hands. So far I like them but it will take a minute to get use to them that's for sure.
Not pictured -- my Nalgene bottle, Blender Bottle and gum. Those are also essentials for the gym.
