I have been working with a macro coach and I was complaining about not seeing as much progress despite being fairly strict on macros. Then I realized OK I am probably squandering all of progress by eating out. Sidenote: Another problem with eating out is it is very hard to track even if you order something healthy and can guesstimate. You never know what kind of sneaky fats they add in to your protein or maybe their homemade dressing has more carbs than you thought. It's a tricky situation. Anyways, I told my coach this past Friday that I was staying in all weekend I told her I was not going to blow all of my hard work and try and stay at home and eat all of my meals.
Below is a recap of my Saturday...
8:00 a.m.
Iced coffee with SF creamer
Egg white omelet with laughing cow cheese, peppers and onions and Canadian bacon.
Mini bagel with 0 cal butter spray
10:00 a.m.
Iced non-fat latte
2:00 p.m.
Joespeh's Pita with hummus, cucumbers, tomatoes and chicken.
6:00 p.m.
Bourbon Glazed Salmon
Asian Slaw Salad
Jasmine Rice
7:00 p.m.
Normally, (depending on my macros at the end of the night) I would have done proyo with PB or a protein waffle with sf syrup and PB instead, I had a little frozen yogurt.
Sunday was the same exact meals except I did Halo Top instead of frozen yogurt. The best part about it all is, it is Monday morning right now and I feel 1000x's better. I truly don't feel like I am having to "start over" today which is a feeling I haven't felt in a long time. A bonus, I am down one pound total for the week. Which is stinking amazing for me. The scale doesn't move much these days.
Don't sacrifice your life, friends and family. If everyone is going out, choose a healthy option. If you are at a party, head for the protein and veggies as much as you can. Choose moderation. For instance tonight, I am going to a girls night at a Mexican restaurant. No chips will be involved, mark my words. HOWEVER, if you really want to see the scale move and be successful you will have to make sacrifices.
