Blogger.com has been a real jerk to me lately. I could not upload pictures since Tuesday. Anyways. Like I said Monday, I am starting a new blog series called Life Outside Of The Box. Often times I get so caught up in my workouts and making sure I don't miss a WOD. Which then leads me to getting obsessive with food and all of my meals. Next thing I know, I am driving myself into a looney bin and everyone around me thinks I'm insane. I have to frequently remind myself there is life outside of the box. There is more to life than planning meals in tupperware. I know other people can get obsessive like this too so I thought I'd do a series on how I relax/what I do outside of the box to bring myself back to reality. I haven't decided how often I will post, hopefully weekly but either way you guys will be in the loop. I can't wait to share with you all what I am doing outside of the box to keep sane and normal. Hopefully this can help you guys out too!
First up, reading.
Reading is something I have re-fallen in love with. I read every night before I go to bed. It is super relaxing and I usually fall asleep within minutes. Eek! But seriously, reading is so therapeutic. I can unwind from my day and relax in silence with my book and zero social media. It really is a favorite of mine. Here are some books I have recently finished and totally recommend.
Girl on the train -- Such a great thriller. I couldn't NOT put this book down. It was totally exciting and a little twisted and depressing but still, great.
Landline -- I love a good love story and this one was perfect. This story is about a couple that rekindles their marriage through a strange landline. Totally cute.
Dark Places -- Gillian Flynn is everything. I just finished this book and it was a weird and dark (hence the name) book that's for sure. It got a little slow for me during the middle but I powered through. I highly recommend if you like murder thrillers.
Next up on my list is Girl Boss, Gone Girl and Mindy Kalings new book, Why Not Me? Give reading a shot if you are looking for a way to unwind and relax. So much better than junk tv even though I can't stop watching Parenthood :O oops.
Over and out,
