2016 is over and as y'all know, I HARDLY blogged throughout 2016. Despite this, 2016 was a good year. Nothing hugely monumental happened but none the less it was great. Highlights...
- I traveled outside of the country for the second time with the love of my life
- I landed a fairly great job and have been successful there
- I competed and won my first individual crossfit comp and competed again with a team
I am not a HUGE resolutioner but there are some 'goals' I set and try to achieve. Last year my goals were.....
1. More PRs (100% did this)
2. Run another half marathon (April 2016 I ran the Knoxville Half again and died)
3. Visible abs (Yeah... no.)
4. Land a job I love (CHECK!)
5. Spend more quality time with Andrew (Double check! We vacationed together and actually made big plans for holidays/bdays etc)
6. Grow relationship with God (I made a huge effort to go to church every Sunday and it really made a difference in my relationship.)
7. Save more money + follow a stricter budget (I could have done better!)
8. Donate + give back (CHECK, I am the queen of donating all of my clothes. Also, I made an effort to donate money to go fund me pages and give money back to church.)
9. Stop being afraid of everything (I think I have gotten better at this. I just needed to learn to relax more and put faith in God.)
10. Travel more ( I went on a second cruise but it is hard to travel when trying to start your career.)
This year my goals are simple:
- Find a workout balance. This year Crossfit kind of took over and I really miss running so, 2017 will be the year I get back to a nice running/crossfitting balance.
- Eat cleaner. Take a closer look at ingredients I am putting into my body. I am all on board with the clean eating and an all organic diet. It is a process but I can tell such a huge difference when I eat all natural and organic verses processed and artificial. My inspiration is realfoodology on insta. Follow her. She is amaze.
- Stay focused. I have huge goals as far as schooling goes and for my future. It is so easy to become a negative nancy and doubt myself.
- De-clutter. My computer and phone. I am such a hoarder when it comes to pictures and things that don't matter but I think want to save. BYEEE felica bye!
That's about it for 2017. Keeping it super simple. Another goal. SIMPLICITY. Everything doesn't always have to be so complicated.
Stronger and leaner for 2017.
Better at gymnastics movements in 2017.
Continue with surrounding myself with amazing people!
All the healthy eating.
I am on a serious red pepper kick in 2017.
