Chicken Crust Pizza!!!!

I was going to wait until tomorrow to share my latest obsession but this obsession deserves its own post!! I have been posting and talking a big game about Chicken Crust Pizza for the past week thanks to Skinny Meg on Periscope (my other latest obsession - more on that tomorrow).

Yes. You read this right. CHICKEN CRUST. The crust is made out of chicken! Sounds a little weird I know but, Skinny Meg has been raving about this dang crust and being the pizza lover I am I KNEW I had to try this out!

Here is my modified crust recipe:
- 1lb ground chicken
- 1 egg
- 28g mozzarella or any shredded cheese
- 28g of parmesan
- salt & pepper
- garlic powder
(SM uses Italian seasoning but I am liking the simple salt, pep and garlic powder combo)

Mix together all of your ingredients and press flat on a baking sheet. Bake at 400 for about 12 minutes. Once it is cooked a little, take out your crust and add toppings! Here is what I have been loving.....

- 1/2c BBQ sauce
- Sauteed onion
- Cilantro
- Mozzarella (eyeballed - if counting macros I would weigh)

Once you add your toppings pop the pizza back in the oven for 10-13 more minutes and boom. You.Are.Done. This is literally the easiest and quickest recipe ever. Super low carb and high protein aka so much winning and so so so delicious y'all.

Common questions I have been getting include:

Does the crust stay together?
Yes.You can cut it and eat it like a regular slice of pizza Adding the egg definitely helps.

Does the crust turn out mushy?
No!!  The crust isn't mushy or soggy. It stays super firm.

Could you make it with ground turkey?
I'm sure you could! I wouldn't just because I am over ground turkey but if you are looking to lower the fat a little, turkey would be a good option. I personally think chicken would taste better than turkey.

How many servings does one recipe make?
I can eat on my pizza for 3 days. But if you are sharing I would say it serves two people. And P.S. the chicken pizza is just as tasty the next day!!!!

Next I am going to try marinara and turkey pepperoni! I might also try ham and pineapple!! So many delicious options. I am getting hungry typing this post!!

I hope you guys enjoy! Share your topping combos with me if you decide to make the Chicken Crust!
